DAYTIME ECW
The Daytime ECW meets the second Wednesday of the month at
12:00
noon
, with the exception of the months of July and August. Officers are:
President: June Harroun; Vice-President, Barb Douglas; Secretary, Karen
Calkins; Treasurer, Nedra Swift. Every woman of the church is
automatically a member of ECW. Yearly dues are $3.00. Meetings consist
of a short prayer service at
11:45 a.m.
, followed by lunch and invited speakers who present topics of special
or timely interest to our members. Speakers have presented topics as
diverse as spiritual healing, new projects in our city, services for
abused/abandoned women, and how to start a crafting business. A short
business meeting follows. In
addition, the Daytime ECW actively participates in a variety of service
projects throughout the year. We
are a vital, active organization that welcomes new members anytime.
EVENING ECW
The Evening ECW was started around 1995 with 5 women who wanted to be apart of ECW but could not make the day meetings. Since then, we have done many things in our Church and around the community. We start Lent off with a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, many of our Church friends come to enjoy pancakes, sausage, applesauce and friendship. In the spring we have our first blood drive, we are pleased that 15 to 20 people donate to this very worthily cause. Don’t forget, all women in our Church are members of ECW, Please come to our groups.
